Hi,

Are the Isabel Laced Orpington's the birds in the 2-9-13 photos?

That hen needs to be crossed with a lavender for the Isabel to come out. She is carrying one copy of the lavender gene.

Look at the color variation in these two sisters. They're 3 months old. I can't believe the difference. I feel like lavender is a gene that doesn't vary much in color. But I love them!

Gorgeous birds!!  I am wondering if there is a breed standard to reference for the Lavender Orpingtons?  I am getting 3 pullets and a roo, hopefully this weekend, and I am trying to familiarize myself with the 'do's and don'ts' if I am going to breed them.  Any help/links/guides would be wonderful!!

I would think the standard would be the same for all Orpingtons.

Has anyone received Lavender Orpington's from Meyer Hatchery. How are they? And can you post pictures

I have a Lav. Orpington roo and I'm wondering what age (he is 7 months old now) will he be fertile.  He is mating and I'd like to incubate some eggs next month.

How can I think outside of the box when they won't let me out?
