what breed of rooster do you think is the best at protecting his flock

ive lost some to bobcats, foxs, dogs, and cats.
i would like to know what is the best breed of rooster that is the best at protecting his flock.?
i would like for him to defend his flock and maybe ward off the smaller thing like foxes, and cats, and my small dogs.
i understand he cant beat up a bobcat but if he tried his hens migght be able to make a run for it and be safe.

I believe games have a good reputation for this, but they are not big. Really I think it's going to be more a matter of individual personality than breed.

Rooster can warn of danger but that is about all they can do. If you could teach one to shoot a gun, then you would have a bird that would protect your flock. Traps, fences, electric fencing, a tight and closed night roost and the occasional use of a rifle will protect your flock.

Roosters won't exactly get the job fully done as they're bait themselves, BUT, that aside, Oriental and American Gamefowl are the best[/i] at protecting a flock. They have the most wild, natural instinct, and are extremely good at protection as well as general free range foraging. And they're very good with people, too. Just not with other roosters.

(Orientals include Shamos, Thai, Asils, Brazilians, Ga Noi, etc. Americans include Butchers, Hatches, Hulseys, Whitehackles, Roundheads, etc.)

ETA - Oriental Gamefowl are indeed big. Breeds like Shamos and Malay cockerels weigh over 10 lbs and reach a height of over 30 inches.

As crazy as it sounds, I had a White Leghorn rooster that was FEARLESS-he would stand out in the middle of the pasture when a hawk was flying over while all of the girls ran for cover like he was saying, "bring it on". He took on a couple of guinea fowl and whipped them both when they attacked a smaller, younger rooster.
Sadly, he was also vicious to me, so he had to go.

Just wanted to add-if anyone mentions Sumatra(LF), don't believe it. I have a MASSIVE Black Sumatra rooster that would kick the snot out of any other rooster he was ever around, but if he senses danger of any kind, I firmly believe he would knock over old people and small children while he was running, screaming for cover, leaving his girls swingin' in the breeze(mind you, this is a 3-spurred, LARGE bird)...big sissy.

I'd remmcomd yo a black jersey giant rooster, I had one two year ago, he fought a fox twice and won the battle. After second battle with fox, he was in painful for week then died. He was amazing protector but very very very mean rooster!

I also had a silver sebright rooster, he fights raccoon away inside the coop, I had two hens in there with a nankin rooster and sebright roo.
My nankin rooster was a wussy so the silver sebright had to stand up to the raccoon to save them.
In the morning I opened the coop to let them out and I saw the bloods all over the coop and on the rooster spurs, I was like what was that. And grab all chickens to see if there. Damage on the hens or roosters. But there no damage happen.
Just the beatbox flip over and bloods around the nest.

He survived after two attacked in the coop twice.

Now I have a golden sebright rooster, he saved a hens and chicks from my stupid neighbor cat who tried to hunt my bantams chicks.
He ran to the cat and chased it away then he spot the hawk fly down to a Dutch pullet then he had to ran back to the flock and spurred the hawk away in same day and same time..

I decided to keep him and name him Derek.

I have a Brown Leghorn who is very protective of his flock which consists of a dozen hens. He can be aggressive with people if you're not watching him.
