see if I still got it when they reply.

I agree with the advice too though, give it some time. When I first started, like yall know I was just a kid, my dad thought I was nuts. Would shake his head every time a new bird came in. Pretty much I had to hide what some of them cost at first cause he'd loose his mind. He never dropped a penny for me on it either by the way. That was his rule, I had to get out and earn everything for them, be fully responsible for all the care and feed cost etc.

Well wasnt long, once the phone started ringing for Mr Webb and it was his kid they were wanting, he changed his tune on how many we could have.... Shoot, he'd even drive me to Tallahassee or Atlanta to the airports 3-4 times a years after he'd worked all day for air line pick ups of truck loads with a smile on his face the whole time...
Just goes to show, give it a little time and most of the will catch the fever too. Before long he was even picking species out that HE wanted me to find, LOL

but yes like Shawn and others mentioned, be careful, once this bug gets into, you'll never get it out, you can try and try, but you just cant help it, you'll come back to them every time!

I wish he would drive me all over gods creation for birds lol. Too bad I can't have as many as you in your glory days, cause I'm gonna be a freshman in high school, so I can't really get too crazy since it's not too far until college. But best case senerio if I can get him addicted, I can come back every summer with more than last year. And as you guys know, with ducks, it's possible.

My plans for next year is to get another pair of either mandies and/ or ringed teal, and hopefully a pair of white faced or eytons whistling ducks. If whistlers don't work then some sharpwing teals!

Karen has me pegged, thats the two species I want to do this year. Thanks, I will definitely have to stop by yours and Marks place one day in the very near future on my way up to Muscle Shoals (Have a good friend and fishing buddie known forever up there)My friends and I are FINALLY going to build the concrete pond next month and add about 30 more feet to the big pen in the process. Gotta guy from Bama coming to get all my shelducks but I should get some Australian babies to rear next spring if all goes to plan. See I still have recurring symtoms of "Duckitous"
