Weird or Old Home Remedies

For cold sores (herpes), strong coffee dabbed on several times a day.

For sore throats, gargle with luke warm salt water.

Eat bananas to relieve night cramps.

Cough remedy. Alternate layers of sliced onion and brown sugar. Leave for a couple of hours. Use the juice that leaches out of the onion as a cough remedy.

Soak feet in hot water with mustard added for colds, chills.

vinegar for stings.

Ginger for any kind of nausea, including morning sickness.

Rub a sty, gently, with a gold wedding ring. (A sty is a small abcess on the eyelid).

Have used them all successfully.

Put olive oil on a sunburn. It doesn't do very much in the short term (use aloe for that), but will prevent you from getting skin cancer from sun damage years down the road.

I also do the salt water thing for sore throats... it tastes horrible, but it works! You could also try gargling with diluted apple cider vinegar.

I still have a bandaid over my nose, but the last peice of dead cancer came off my nose last night. The black salve kills skin cancer in 12 hours, the roots draw up and after 3-7 days, the chunk of cancer cells will come out. I keep it covered with a bandaid and triple antibiotic ointment to keep it moist. Now I will keep it covered a few more days for it to heal. It sucks that it had to be on my nose. There is not enough meat on my nose to close up the wound and I have a slight depression on my nose. Better than having my nose cut on by modern medicine and my face all scarred up or eaten off by cancer.

No wonder I don't hardly ever have indigestion~ I drink pickle juice from the jar just because I want to! In fact, I've drank the pickles dry before...

You used to hear to put butter on a burn... but they've found out that's really NOT a good thing to do as it holds the heat in.

What is black salve?

It is made with bloodroot and other herbs. In our case, we go to an old man whose family has made this salve for 200 years. It is available online under various names.

teaspoon baking soda in 1/4cup water, skull it when you feel like you are about to vomit. Make's everything settle and stay down. I keep it next to my bed as I often wake up in the middle of the night and vomit for no real (triggered) reason.

Earache/ Ear Infection: Cut the end off a clove of garlic and place the cut end just slightly into your ear, let's not jamb it in their people... leave it there for a while, you may hear a pop, this is the ear beginning to drain properly

.

Strep Throat: Liquid Echinacea (may contain golden seal, if it contains golden seal consult a physician for babies) 1ml (one dropperful) every 4 hours for the first day then use 1ml 3 times a day for about a week. I swear I haven't had to get a prescription for strep since I started using this one!

Pink Eye/ Eye Infection: Use two drops of castor oil in each eye several times a day for at least a week, I promise it won't sting at all.

Any Ailment: Raw Garlic!!!! Just chop and eat.

MRSA: Manuka Honey, eat a tablespoon two times a day for a few weeks, and apply it directly to the sores.

For swimmer's ear use half alcohol and half cider vinegar. Fill your ear canal as full as possible and let it "soak". Then put cotton in and reapply as necessary. Usually takes care of it with 2 applications. Works better than anything I have tried yet.
