Partridge Silkies - Nothing else

Wow did we have awful weather yesterday!! The kind of thunder & lightning that shake the earth...strong winds....an inch of rain in 1 hr...and, it HAILED for about 45 minutes!! So~~where were the Silkies? in the barn?? under their umbrellas?? heck no~~~all of them standing outside in the rain!!

Pennie~~I don't make any special preparations for the birds I'm going to show...they stay in their regular houses & runs. About 2 days before the show, they do come in for their bath, nail trimming, etc. Everybody does it different...lol

I LOVE the blue as a background color for the pics....I'll have to give that a try

Oh I almost got that too except the Sec. at the show messed up my card and I brought it up with a copy of my entry form. Thank goodness I always copy it before I mail b/c they would have for sure given me DQ for the Junior showing and boy would that have been a big downer

I also think it depends on the show and how friendly the folks are that are running it. I find some are more willing to be helpful than others

Very dark pullet crosss out of my patridge female and dark was either a black or blue male (I'm thinking black)

This is the first I have heard about useing a blk male with leakage to darken up the chests.

This is one of my fave girls and you can see how much better the pics are when you use the blue background.
