The sad part about this thread is that most of the posters so against this are not even farmers and really don't know anything about farming other than the negative articles they pick an choose to read. So many people think the internet and Wikapedia are Gospel. As a farmer and producer, we eat and feed our animal these grains as well as produce it for you to eat. If you want direct information since you think the farmers on here don't know what they are planting and producing , talk to a seed rep. and ask questions .

I have read from many reliable sources on the bad points of GMO & Round-up. I respect your point of view, just don't compel me, as the controlled food supply is doing, to eat or feed my animals GMO products.

So read it basically Monsanto sued because the COPORATE farm controlled....Oh the heck with it. It is like argueing with a goose. it knows what it knows and don't try to confuse it with facts. What does this all have to do with geese most of this thread is in violation of Rule 3 I am tempted to report it but I have been known to bend that Rule too.......

So apparently I'm wrong. Well golly, won't be the first time.

I was under the impression that Wikipedia was an online encyclopedia that only published facts.
Noteworthy is that the pro-GMO camp in this thread seems rather annoyed if everybody doesn't agree with them
and has systematically tried to prove they're right and anybody who disagrees with them is a bunch of idiots controlled by propaganda and conspiracy theories.
Well, the bottom line is nobody knows the long term side effects of consuming GMO so at this point its pure speculation on anybodys part, including farmers.
So let people have an opinion and decide for themselves.

Goosedragon: What does this have to do with geese?
I feed and breed mine so this topic is very relevant.

Asking a seed rep about the safety of GMO products would be like asking a drug presentative from the multi-billion dollar drug industry if perscriptuoin drugs are safe for you.
Sorry, major conflict of interest. Only time will prove whose right or wrong. In the mean time I don't care to be a Guinea Pig in somebody's profit making experiment.
Also its a huge assumption on your part to state that all the people who are concerned about GMO products worship everything they read on the internet and on Wikipedia.
That's preposterous!

You think it is true and no where did I state that ALL people concerned about GMO worship everything on the internet and Wikapedia those were your words. I simply stated that so many people think the internet and wikapedia are gospel. I am sorry your don't want to ask a drug rep. We sure don't seem to have any trouble with canadian geese eating everything and reproducing by the tons.

"all", "so many" whatever, the implication was there.
Maybe the Canadian Geese are faring well (now) but there has been widespread infertility across the US
according to many first hand reports from breeders AND farmers from cows to geese so who knows...
mycotoxins in the feed, the environment, GMO or a combination.
Whatever the case may be there is cause for concern.
Asking questions and having concerns is not foolish but rather prudent.

They have in the past, and might do so now. There are many pages that you can edit to give just your side of the story. The locked pages are more likely to be best current knowledge or opinion, since they have been debated in the wiki. BUT the best minds usually don't waste their time there, the University researchers get points for publishing in Journals [Publish or perish] not on the internet. Government and Corporate people that might know are often restrained by their employers. Even the so called 'wiki-leaks' were claimed to be untrue. I know it is a waste of time to argue with you, but it gets my heart beating~gd
