well i used to have the rabbits loose and they got on perfecly with the chickens, the only problem was that cat attack, so i've got them all in their hutches.

at the local farmers market they sell their 18 month old battery hens for 1.50 euros each, winter i buy 2 or 3 and let them molt and then in the spring they start laying about 3-4 eggs a week, but by next winter they go to freezer camp, by then they are just eating more than they are laying. so basically i give them a year of happiness. when these start laying i should hatch some of their eggs and see what their chicks are like, i've never hatched any of their chicks before... anyway i'm going on here
