Could you link us to picture/s of your American "Bronze" birds so we can compare thanks? Sorry if you have done this before, as haven't seen it?
Anyone in the US have the Sepia Muscovy gene?

I personally don't have any bronze or I would be happy to send you a photo, maybe someone that does have them will step up.
Below is the closest I can come in my flock and this isn't a bronze.. so.. I do know that bronze is said to exist here, however I have never seen one, and I have heard they are very rare. I have to question of they do exist here.

What's the phenotypic difference between sepia and chocolate? I read on another thread here that young sepia birds have pink bills, yellow legs/feet and khaki colored feathers. Maybe I'm just confused (not exactly a muscovy connoisseur) but I thought that pretty much described chocolates?
I'm thinking specifically of a couple I had at one time:
Pink bills, yellow feet, khaki feathers. So what, phenotypically speaking, distinguishes them?

The birds you show are chocolate if not blue fawn. What I read also says the carcunckles are khaki.. however all the photos I see, they are not. I really think we need to get some KNOWN sepia in the US so we can actually see what we are looking at.
To answer your question, chocolate is just that, its a brown, the sepia from photos I have seen and we all know how light can change things.. are more a dull olive drab.

These are just some of my ducks the drake being the father, this thread is interesting and am still unsure about the whole sepia bronze thing. I'm also from Aus and im not entirley certain but pretty sure that these guys are sepia, the last duck not sure of
Would also be interesting to see if anyone has new information on this topic ?
