The Silver Wood Ducks was not started in the 80's. My name is Brian Wallace from Fultondale, AL. I started the Silver Woods in the early 90's around 1991 or 1992. I started out with a single drake. I got a wood duck hen that carried the white genes from Woody & David Brundige a few years before. The very first silver baby hatched off on the night of an eclipse and was named Eclipse for that reason. It was a few years later when I had raised about a dozen silvers that I contacted Woody about us joining together to get the silvers going. After getting them established, Woody started selling them to other breeders. For verification of this contact Woody Brundige of South Fulton, TN. Today is December 5th, 2017. I talked with Woody earlier tonight.

This is original Silver Wood Duck - Drake I started with in the late 1980's. I obatained him from a bird breeder in Decatur, AL. No one knows where he came from or how he came to be. The Apricots and Whites woodies were available but not the Silver.
