Now that the 2nd one is starting to dry, it looks an awful lot like a mallard. new cam 069.jpg

Mom to 3 human children, 1 cat-Noel, foster Mom to nephew's rabbit-Biscuit and hopefully chickens and ducks again when situation improves.

I see the eye stripe now. Either these people have no idea what breed of ducks they have or they are taking people for a ride.

I agree. Did they have pictures of their birds anywhere? Of course, some people steal photos off the net. If they had pictures of Muscovies, then I would say that they're scamming people. If they don't, then I would be more inclined to think that they don't know what they've got.

The one baby sorta looks Swedish and the other looks Rouen.

They are saying the 2nd one is also a muscovy because it has pink splotches on its feet and it came from their hen named Liz. On their duck page is a picture of her I guess it's the one with the black stripe under her eye.

Here it is all fluffed up.

Adorable, I am not able to see their duck.

Was able to see the pic.  That lil duckling will change it's looks so much over the course of the next few months no way they can say because of eye stripe thats  liz's baby. And they show mallards so they do have them.   your baby does look like it could have scovie bill and feet.

On their website, they have mallards and mallard ducklings.  Yours looks like those ducklings, so I don't know how they can say it's impossible for you to have mallard eggs from them.  They got their eggs mixed up, I think.  I think Muscovies  sometimes hoard other duck's eggs, too.  And sometimes, birds dump eggs in other bird's nests.

I just sexed the ducklings and the first is a girl and the second is a boy. I was wrong when I sexed Niblet with the quacking and honking noises coming out and the difference I just saw.sad.png
