wholewheatchicken, I should have also added that the Serama pairs these eggs are from will be marked as Romeo, Cassanova, Lacey and Gracie on my website.

In the top of your post, you have two pictures of Seramas. Is the one that is second from the white - it is black and white - a girl? I hatched Serama eggs a month ago and I have one that is looking like yours and I thought it was a girl, but the top of its comb is starting to turn a little red, although it is very small. I had some others that are a month older and very early on I could tell one was going to be a boy, and he is, and the other a girl, and she is. But her comb is yellow, although her feathers are buff/black and her legs are yellow so maybe that's why? I lucked into these little guys so I am still trying to learn a lot about them.
Thanks,
Kim

Hi Kim
Yes that is a black/white mottled hen, my little Lacey. The young pullets comb stay pretty smal while the cockerels grower larger and turn red right away.
The little pullets combs start to turn red as they approach the point of lay. Hope that helps.

Yes, it does. I guess he must be a boy then. I keep trying to figure out what they are to decide what to get to go with them and a him/her makes a big difference! Our two month old just crowed for the first time this morning and it was adorable.

You are killing me with this!!! They are so cute, but I just filled up all my incubators with barred rock egg orders for hubby's b-day :( Love that paint Sg pullet!
