I just recieved my new 1602 Hova bator with fan kit and turner. I love it!! Although i had to do some modifications already. Anyone else have to do this? I noticed the fan, looks like a chick can get hurt, no guard over the blades of fan so i zip tied a pc. of hardware cloth on it. I do know the hova is tall but i'd rather be safe than sorry. I also drilled two 1/4" holes in the top lid

rcycle gas line(Brand new,never used,Lol) into trough #1 and #2. I drilled a 1/4" hole in a water bottle lid to accept the line and labeled them #1 & #2. Now i wont have to open the lid to add water, I just put some warm water in a bottle,screw it to the cap and add. The line goes right through the mesh in the bottom of incbator. It works great so far.
