What did you do in the garden today?

Great to hear you are alright @TropicalBabies. Regarding cilantro: I had that “it tastes like soap” thing for years so I just avoided it. However, I heard on one of the cooking shows that small, gradual consumption helps that go away. I usually use dried, have used some fresh and it doesn’t taste as soapy anymore.

I plan to plant a lot of garlic in October or November, I use so much of that and Cumin. I looked into growing Cumin too but harvesting tiny seeds off of a plant doesn't look like a lot of fun. Maybe I find a youtube video on how to do it efficiently.
Harvesting, dill seed, cumin, and mustard isn't fun.....at all.

a few garden shots. Its hot and steamy out there.

Today the "Trombone" variety butternut squash is even bigger. The normal variety is the orange one to the right.

I need to research some sort of easy DIY low cost way to harvest things like that. I really love Cumin and I would hate to have that end up being the next shortage. Without Cumin I might go back to eating microwavable meals. Luckily my other crutch spice is Garlic and that's easy to grow and harvest.
