It happens.. Hopefully the weather will change and dry it up some for you. We had this issue last fall and switched runs. I found with two runs it was easier to give each run a break and a chance to regrow grass. Planting grass while the chickens are still on the area would be pointless. They will eat the seeds. Last year we helped our run dry up with a ton of leaves. We just dumped all of our fallen tree leaves to use as mulch for our chicken run.
They love mulch, but it is quite expensive. Leaves are free and it's a good way to get rid of excess leaves.
