Washingtonians Come Together! Washington Peeps

I think I'll plant my sage and rosemary in front of the house where it'll get southern exposure to the sun and protection from cold north winds.
I put my rosemary in the greenhouse, so it came through as if there were no winter. But the sage was in the ground. We have taken it out of the garden bed and filled that with other things. Now, just to find where to plant it. I think it will come back.

I think they are both fairly cold hardy but don’t like wet feet. The place I have the rosemary is very sandy and well drained.
That could very well have been the problem. The soil under the rosemary was probably waterlogged all winter. I'm thinking about making a new raised bed specifically for herbs, filled with well draining soil.

:thumbsup Great idea! The other thing that happened to my big rosemary was the deer breaking off big branches rubbing their antlers.
