I'm a lucky one too. Not only has my husband bought me two self-contained coops, one 10'x10'x6' cage, and one condo with a powder-coated steel run, but he also bought me an entire cabin to devote to my chicken habits, plus most the power tools and wood I've used to create pens, runs, roosts and nesting boxes.
The chicken cabin, and part of the steel run attached to the chicken "condo".
Wow! Your DH is very cool! BTW, My DH doesn't like to let me roam around Home Depot - I get myself into all kinds of trouble. Last week I told him that I really need a drill press - to drill 5/8" holes through 2x4s for the portable chicken fence supports. The 12"galvanized nails will be hard to put into the ground without those holes! One year for Christmas, I built him a bar with tufted faux leather, a bar top that I made myself, kitchen cabinets, countertop, and a little fridge that we had hanging around the garage!
I wish I had the kind of space that you do... my neighbors are wonderful, but it is just an acre!
