What do you think of these ingredients?

GreenMountan,

I am not trying to badgering you, You made a statement that I did not agree with and I posted my thought on it.
You have contradicted yourself more than one time on here, example;

Now as far as the Feather Meal go's didn't you say that feather meal was;

If we do a simple google search we will can find that your statement to be incorrect on more than one site. Could you have been confusing feather meal with something other than Feather Meal?

I'm sorry to the OP and to BYC for this but I was just posting my thoughts and facts that can be found with a search.

LOL, excuse for interrupting this conversation, but my gosh that is one funniest things that I have heard in a while!

Definately my mistake :)

I guess, in my head, I associate animals to be mammals and other land going creatures. Once I actually thought about it, I was like "oops" That was a big fubar on my part!!

If I may get back to the initial reason I started this thread..... Does everyone agree that the main list of ingredients I posted in my first post for the Nutrena and Big V Feeds are essentially the same? Another words, their terminology in describing the ingredients is essentially their own semantics, other than the fact that Big V Feeds uses animal protein?

Also, Nutrena's first ingredients is Ground Yellow Corn. Is that normal for most feeds?

They are pretty much the same, yes. The reason nutrena phrases it the way they do is because they formulate their feeds to have a consistent "nutrition facts label", not necessarily a consistent ingredients list. So instead of "alfalfa", it will read "forage plant product", since they might use alfalfa and fescue and brome to meet the x value of plant protein and fiber. Not a huge deal unless you are dealing with a food-sensitive allergic animal.

It's good to know i can use either brand. I think I'll try the Big V Feed layer ration, only because the pellets are more uniform in size and a little smaller.
