I am glad that I have 3 bators BUT I will have to start some out in bator 3 then when bator one gets ready for lockdown I will have take eggs out of bator 3, then take eggs out of bator 1 put in bator 3, then bator 3 eggs go to bator 1 to finish incubating. I still haven't gotten a clue on what i'm going to do with bator 2 eggs when they are ready for lockdown. I might have to leave them in there for lockdown so I can be able to clean out 3 after i'm done hatching. I don't like to add to lockdown once it starts soooo who knows what will happen.

I usually have 1 bator I use for lockdown & move everything there as they go into lockdown regardless of what bator they were incubating in. That allows me to keep staggered hatches going constantly without messing up humidity for anyone. Right now I have a bunch I moved to the lockdown bator early because I ran out of room in the other 2 bators. At least they are all due in the next week, so should be ok with higher humidity a few days early.

Me either. I'm shuffling to make room for eggs already on the way, including yours.
I'll entice a little more here: the Favorelle eggs will likely include Salmon, Blue and Ermine stock.

The Pekins are a big, fast-growing very healthy and calm strain.... And the Plymouth Rocks lay, lay, lay.

Someone take these eggs please! :

Ok I will make your wait better. But I will probably stall the Thread

. I will take the Plymouth rocks not sure what the favorelle are or may have taken them.

I will offer up:

6 + Rouen Duck pet Quaility but great layer 6-7 eggs a week per hen

or 6 + BBS marans but they do through salmons also

are the marans black, blue, splash? are they pure?

See told you I would stall it also. Would offer up some Call egg but just havn't started laying enough yet again.

No worries Erin. I stall it too.

There aren't quite as many of us waterfowl people, so this moves a bit slower than some of the other chains. I don't worry about it like the others do. I understand it happens. Eventually someone will come along who likes the offer & it will move again.

Yes The Marans Are pure Only 1 does not have feathered legs which is my splash hen. I hatch out about 70% with feathered legs but all the salmon chicks with feathered legs

It is just recessive genes that pop out, Im middle of starting to do some one on one breeding to figure out which hen or hens are producing it Since I have salmon hens That I kept last year to work with improving them. Since they come from the BBS there leg color is slate which it why I will put those hens this year over my wheaten to start getting white to pink leg color in the next gereration salmons. It was also Suggested by some one else high up in the marans world to do it, So that is what I will try it. I think it scares some people off and it did me at first then chicks grew out and look so good compared to the pictures you see on marans club that who carries that they came from blue's Whites sometimes come from coppers and cuckoo so whats wrong with salmons coming from BBS.

They are Davis and wade lines. My wheaten are just not laying well enough most of them are pushing 4 which is why Im hatching allot out to keep allot of girls this year.
