SWAP RULES

1. You must have at least 1 offer of purebreed WATERFOWL eggs. (See rule 12 for paypal options if you don't have pure waterfowl to offer.) You may offer more than 1 PURE breed of egg in an offer. Additional offers may be mixed breed or other types of fowl.

2. If eggs are from mixed colors, please note color combinations.

3. Minimum of 4 eggs for duck & turkey, 2 for goose & peafowl, 6 for chicken, guinea, pheasant, 12 for quail. If you have any other type of fowl I haven't considered please ask about quantities. If you would like to offer more, that would be fine too.
Please post a pic if you have one, it will help your eggs move.

4. To qualify for accepting an offer, you need to post what you are offering in return in the same post.

5. When each trade is posted, please pm or email the person who offered the eggs and work out the shipping arrangements.

6. The person sending the eggs pays the shipping costs.

7. When eggs are mailed, swapper needs to send a courtesy email to the swappee to let them know that the eggs are on their way. All Egg Must me shipped with tracking # by Priority Mail. PM tracking number to recipient when you ship.

8. Please offer eggs that you will have available to ship within two weeks of offering. Please send eggs no older the 4 days when shipped. (Exceptions can be made if someone claims multiple offers & agrees to have them all shipped together. MUST let recipient know age of OLDEST eggs before shipping.)

9. If combining different breeds, write in pencil the breed.

10. Side trades are welcome but please use PMs to avoid confusion.

11. You need to be a member in good standing for a MINIMUM of 3 months before you can join in this swap.

13. LIMIT of 5 swaps per week. New week begins Sunday night at MIDNIGHT EST.

6+ Black Cayuga Ducks (Holderread Line)
Outstandingly hardy, great foragers, and make excellent pets or meat (or both!) averaging 7-8 lbs live weight. These ducks aren't bothered a bit by the harsh winters of the northeast and the girls are good seasonal layers giving me coal-black eggs early in the season which then fade to a dark grey-green. Mine haven't shown a strong desire to go broody so I usually stick the eggs under a broody Cochin.

These ducks are such sweeties, so calm and happy they don't run away from me but come to me instead (I am the food lady after all). The girls great year round layers and are giving me an egg a day - these are some of my best over-all producers! These ladies have also shown a tendency toward broodiness and I even successfully relocated a nest last year that the little miss stuck right to like glue. As they are also excellent meat birds, too many drakes is not a bad problem to have.

Harley has not been online in almost 2 weeks & Hardizzle has not been a member long enough. Please hold up swapping while I investigate.

It was an accident posting from Harley's flock. I tried to get rid of that account when I made a new one but it was still logged in on my phone.

My eggs are fertile. I have one drake named splash and 9 ladies . I'm sorry that 1 was suppose to be a 10

I am going to hold off my shipment to Harley's/Hardizzle until this is squared away.  Hardizzle stated that her swedes stopped laying on the same day that I messaged her that my swedes (from which the 10 eggs she claimed came) stopped laying for a few days due to being startled by new construction behind us.  Not saying she is lying, just a little suspicious.  Is it against the rules to offer eggs from a recent claim?

This is precisely why everyone is now required to write their username, breed & date collected on each egg in sharpie now. We have had problems with at least 2 other people doing exactly what you mentioned.

I'm still investigating & waiting on answers to a couple PMs. Thanks for being patient.
