Hi! I am thinking of getting some turkeys in the spring and I want to get some info on what breeds are good and that kind of stuff!
My big question is can I keep my turkeys with my chickens? I am building a new coop in the spring and my pen is plenty big enough. I may even make a little private turkey house. I live in the New England area so are there any certain diseases I would need to worry about?
I am only going to get 2 or 3 turkeys.
I'm not interested in eating my turkeys. I want to keep them as pets. So what is a nice calm and somewhat quiet breed? Quietness doesn't really matter but if some are quieter than others i would want those.
My last question is can they eat the same as my girls? Or do I need to get them special turkey feed?
