Where Do YOU Get/Rescue Battery Hens From?

If anyone here knows where you can rescue other poultry from factory farm type places you can include that. Because I really want to rescue 2 ducks from a Foie Gras Factory.
Wait, I just realized that Foie Gras Factories were outlawed in CA. So let me know if you find any duck factory farms I guess.

Okay guys, I need some help. I know for a fact there's at least one battery farm somewhere in Saratoga County, NY, but I cannot for the life of me find out exactly where it is or how to contact them. If anyone could find out I would be very grateful and hopefully be able to take in some hens.

I hope this helps! If they are near you, and you did want to contact them, just be very careful not to offend the farmer. If you do it could ruin the chances of letting you take spent hens. If you need any more help, or a closer farm, just let me know. I can look for a farm - or I can hopefully answer any questions you may have :) Good luck!

That's about an hour from me, so that's very doable. I guess I'll have to find out how to get in touch with them and figure out what to ask them - if they sell spent hens?

Just say like "Do you sell spent hens?" if they say no then say "well, could I buy some spent hens?" And if they say yes to the first question just ask "Okay, well do you have any right now". And if they say they don't, ask if you can buy hens that aren't spent. Good luck!

I am getting ex-batteries next week but I am also getting Brahma chicks next week, I will have an area closed off for new ex-battery hens from the local factory farm. Also, I have roos, and that's because the farmers treat them like trash and they said to take some. But I will get the ex-batteries and the Brahmas on the same day! Also, I know the guy who breeds Brahmas, and he is good, he doesn't kill them unless it's a humane euthanasia after a severe injury, and only breeds for people he knows/screens and makes them sign a contract saying that the Brahmas won't be used as meat birds.
