On the bright side, Pearl has so many pin feathers that it looks like she will be insulated by the winter. Soon the rescued hens won't have see through tails, LOL.

I'm so sorry you lost Jezebel. I know she had a wonderful life with you. She was beautiful. RIP Jezebel.

Bea and Crystal are really looking good. Lots of fresh air and plenty of food and lots of love. You can't beat that combination. They are so lucky you found them.

The swimming pool pic is halarious.

I hope they moved over and let the last one in. I've never seen such a crowded pool.

Thank you! Yes Pearl especially is coming on really well with her feathers. Think Crystals accident set her back a bit, but shes doing better now

Was kneeling down taking pics, when Bea decided to hop up onto my arm. Was nice and muddy afterwards!

1st of September:
September on the calendar is Dorothy!

First double Yolker off my lot in years! Wasn't a huge egg but was noticeably bigger and heavier!

2nd of September:
Well Josies babies have gone to their new home today. Couldn't have asked for a better home for them. The woman asked me to come up and see that everything was "up to my standards" as she wanted it to be perfect. They're free range, she's built them a pond and then there's a woods with a natural pond in too. I can tell she adores them which was lovely to see. I sent them with a big tub of mealworms. She asked me how much I wanted for them and I said I didn't care for the money as I could see what a good home they were going to. Told her to spend it on them instead. Took the last couple of pics just before i boxed them up. Will miss them but they're only two mins up the road so I can go visit whenever I want Mind I think they might be upgrading as she has someone coming this week to install electric in their coop so she can put heaters in for the winter!!

Nice harvest I'm surprised the chickens aren't eatting that. You have some beautiful chickens and I love the oe they are so tiny and cute. Thanks for sharing their pics with us.

Gosh this getting harder the babies are her size now to guess which one is Lacey. Since I know Lacey likes to speak her thoughts I would say the one with the open mouth. The picture underneath that pic she is the one in the middle proudly showing off her babies. She has that Lacey smile. I love you Lacey you are so photogenic.

Marnie and Miley are gorgeous. Those two are the only chocolate ones of the litter? Four white ones that look so much like Lacey. I can't even tell which one is the runt now. It has caught up with the other three. Then there is the two that look their daddy. Do you know how many are females and how many are males?

I had a tear in my eye when you said you boxed up Josie's babies. Thats great that they are all going to be togeather and going to a good home. Spend the money on them, you are a very special person. I love the pic of all the babies lined up and Josie is at the end of the line. That would make a great calendar pic.

Maebel and Pl are adoreable. It looks like Maebel is telling Pl she has something on her face and she will get it off for her. Pl isn't to happy about someone grooming her. Wow Pearl and Crystal are coming right along. They almost look normal pretty soon they will be like Maebel and Pl.

Don't be embarrassed about Pl's real name. I have a male duck that goes by the initials of CP. Only a few us know his real name which is Cutie Pie. What can I say.
