those are definitely Easter eggers from what i know Americanas have no tails and don't have green legs
also yes those both look like girls here is a link if you want to look for yourself https://www.backyardchickens.com/t/463817/easter-egger-sexing-tips-and-tricks-pictures-included from what i know the boys have less patterned feathering it is hard to tell the gender on easter eggers though
Thank you! I was reading that same thread when you replied here. I am having a hard time with those photos telling if these are pullets or roo's. We are new to this, and I think we assumed or were told they were all female at the feed store, but now I am starting to question myself. I think my husband really wanted EE's anyways originally, so if they are EE that's great! haha.
These are, indeed, Easter Eggers - but Ameraucanas are not rumpless - that would be the Araucana,
Were they listed as Americanas with the "i" in the spelling or was that more of a matter of you spelling it as it sounds? Believe it or not that does matter as the misspelled version is often a good tell-tale sign that you are getting EE as a true breeder of Ameraucanas would use the proper spelling. A good rule of thumb is if it is coming from a feed store, hatchery, etc it is an EE no matter what the label says - with the exception of one major hatchery I am aware of that sells true Ameraucanas. Generally, if you read the fine print on the description on a hatchery's page you see them come out and say that they are an "Ameraucana mix" or "have some Ameraucana blood", etc.
Give it a couple of weeks and post new pictures and you'll get some pretty good feedback on gender, at the moment they look like pullets to me.
Depending on your reasons for ordering them in the first place, you may actually be happier with the Easter Eggers than with Ameraucanas. They will likely outlay Ameraucanas and will probably lay some eggs in colors other than just blue.
