Need some insight- I just rescued a few days old duckling from a dirty home. I think she is only a couple days old at most. Currently she is drinking (electrolyte/vitamin water) on her own, though I am not having any luck getting her to eat. When I found her she was in a brooder that wasn't really warm, and she was on the bottom of a pile of slightly older ducklings and chicks...and the chicks were pecking at her. I thought she was dead already, but she was still hanging in. I took her home, got her warm, and gave her water. She is doing better now (at least aware, awake, seemingly much more stable, etc). However she doesn't seem to want to walk. Is it due to not eating? What should I try to do to get her to eat? My local feed store doesn't carry the grower gel or anything similar. I saw that raw egg yolk is good so I have been trying that as well. I am worried about her not being able to walk well. I have 3 week old ducklings, and I remember how rambunctious and hungry they were when they were that little. Any advice?
