Help With Our Official Survey - What’s your personality profile? Take our quiz!

Well, I tried, but none of the questions had any of my answers. Most of those things matter nothing to me, a large number of them I have no experience with nor participate in, none of those things I "obsess" about, as one question put it. It was at that question that I quit the test, especially after picking so many answers that really were not MY answers. And some of the pictures, I couldn't even tell what it was a picture of. Ok, that does it. I'm an alien.

Would have been better for me if it was in words, not pictures, in truth. I am a reader, don't need pictures to understand things. I honestly tried to pick something that "best described" my response, but most all do not remotely describe my response.
I agree with you speckledhen, it called me out as a culture buff which is partially true but the pics w/o any explanations were not very helpful. I'm an alien too, so no matter what my options aren't there. Oh well.

Oh and the cookie trackers, ewww.

I quit as soon as the site wanted to add cookies...that's why I purchased a membership, to get away from tracker hackers.

What exactly does this mean? " I purchased a membership, to get away from tracker hackers."

I won't take the survey. IMO it's just a sneaky way to find out more about me. I'm surprised to read it asking "what folks obsess about". That doesn't seem like just plain fun. It's personal and none of your business nor your advertisers.

I am aware that BYC is no different than other sites with forums. Facebook and the like. Why be sneaky and make out like this some kind of "just for fun" survey?

I'm also not surprised when after filling out information for a contest here I got told I was to late or some such thing. I'm really disappointed.

Pretty sure most websites add cookies to your computer with or without your permission. If that really bothers you, you can always delete them in your browser settings. :)

That said, I'm not a big fan of this survey thing. It's kind of weird, especially since it's apparently from Wikia.

That is what I hate about 'most' websites. That is usually exactly what I do do. I just don't like 'bait' and switch entities of any kind, which is most of them (when it comes right down to it).
The downside to capitalism, at its finest, is that somebody is always trying to separate someone else from the 'capital' in their wallet and it seems to always come down to 'by any means necessary'.
I understand that advertising as been made out to be a necessary evil, but some of us can only handle so much of 'it' before it feels vomitus and we have the distinct urge to purge ourselves... by whatever means available...
Thanks for the effort to edify me though.

Unfortunately I did not notice the Cookies warning until after I took the quiz - if you look at the list of cookies added it is very long, and many are advertising sites that will track your computer habits. Sorry, but that is not innocuous, and was very time-consuming to fix.
