Hi everyone. Looking for some advice please. I have 3 Campbell eggs in the incubator. I'm on day 27, going onto day 28 in 4hrs time. Egg 1 has rippling movement around the very edge of the air cell, egg 2 has large shadowing movement in the actual air cell and egg 3 has what I think is a beak/bill, in the air cell very close to the outside shell. How do I know if egg 2 has internally pipped? I'm concerned that there isn't a clear beak shape in the air cell....is this because he just hasn't pipped yet or could it be because he's in the wrong position? Also, from what I've read, I should be able to hear a faint clicking sound or possibly some cheeping from egg 3 will the clear shape in the air cell, but I don't hear anything, although there's plenty of movement. Is there always noise, or are they sometimes quiet? Also, none of the eggs have rock n rolled, or moved at all.... There is clear movement in the eggs though? Sorry if I sound paranoid, I'm a first time duck hatching mummy. Thanks.

They do rest for awhile after internally (and also externally) pipping, so they are sometimes quiet for awhile. You can often hear them tapping on the inside of the egg or peeping, but not always. If you can still see movement in them then they are fine! No worries. ;)

I would leave them be and not disturb them, the incubator should be kept closed so it doesn't lose humidity. Ducks need high humidity to hatch out properly. You should see some external pips within 24 hours. Keep us updated! ^-^

Ahhhh, thanks. Typically, about 10 mins after posting this, I heard tapping and a faint "cheep", haha. I have a little table top incubator, with a clear dome lid, and I can just about candle through it (although it's no male an feat with the increased condensation!). I promise not to open the lid, I'll have to sit on my hands I think! Lol. ;-)

That's great! :) Now, just sit back and wait for the magic to happen. These last couple days of incubation always go by the slowest!
