Right. We had trouble with one of our dogs when we got our first ducklings. All our dogs are Yorkies, and the "big" (6 pound) one and the "medium" (4 pound) one were excited to have the ducklings around from the very first moment. The "small in comparison" one (3 pounds) would have none of it. She was incredibly aggressive, and that was the only time I've ever seen her at all aggressive. She's a very nervous, timid dog that is afraid of almost everything and stays on vibrate most of the time. She hated the ducklings. She would continually growl, lunge, and snap at them. In the beginning, she got one of them by the tail before we could catch her. No harm done, but we were taken completely aback by her behavior.
Our situation all worked out in the end because we kept a very close eye on her while they were ducklings. Within a couple of months when the ducklings were mostly grown, she became terrified of them like she is of everything else, but that's almost certainly because they were bigger by then than she was. Rain's situation is much different since her ducks are never going to outgrow a 60 pound dog. I'd be very hesitant to have that dog around the ducks unsupervised even once they're grown.
