Ok, my DH is correcting me. He says 2 ft. Still...!! And, it is really coming down. Wouldn't be surprised if we wake up to 3.
The ski resorts have to be happy. They are getting dumped on!

Tonight for me was finally toss night. I candled again and was glad I waited as some I had no hope for look good! Out of 27, I tossed 10. This is great as had the humidity way up for other eggs hatching in it and it messed these eggs up. I was going to feel lucky if any of them hatched! So I am down to 17 now. Still happy! :)

Both of my eggs hatched! From the same parents i got one black and one blonde! The black hatched today and the blonde hatched yesterday! Couldnt ask for a better birthday present!

Its so special my nyd chicks from last year are their parents! Its amazing how generations work!

Merry christmas everyone!

Oh my goodness! Happy Birthday to you and the chicks! They are adorable! Funny about the colors too! LOL

YUP!

Gorgeous bird!! Just beautiful.
I could be wrong, but I don't believe medicated feed TREATS cocci, I believe it is sorta like a preventive measure. It keeps the chicks from getting cocci. Again, I may be wrong...

amprolium will treat cocci if it is strong enough but you are correct, the medicated feed kills some of the cocci which allows the chickens to build up resistance. If it is not mixed correctly in the feed, it can cause a vitamin deficiency though. I have never used it but have treated for cocci with corid.

I have not had to use corid this year though.
