I hope it can be a cautionary tale for others. Block the door if it's windy

My next door neighbor got locked-in in our chicken run last summer while we were on vacation.

This nice elderly lady were to take care of our chickens while we were away. After she pour the feed in the feeder the first day, she turned around and realized that the door was locked, but one chicken had escaped. For the longest time, she could not remember that all she needed to do was to pull the blue rope from inside to get out, as I had previously explained to her. So she stood there without a cell phone, no one could hear her from the backyard with all the windows closed and AC blasting, and her husband was taking a nap. After playing with the remaining 3 birds forever, she finally remember to pull the blue life line and got herself out. She then called her daughter at work for help to look for that stray chicken, which of course, that was no help. Eventually, the runaway came back at the end of the day and went back inside the coop.

When we got back from vacation, our neighbor had a lot of fun stories to tell.

I'm going to cut a hand hole and cover it with a sliding door for escape attempts.
