Wanted to share our Indian Runner drake's photos

We just finished our last import from Holderreads' into Canada for this year. This photo is my pride and joy, we just welcomed 2 blue drakes from Dave's top line and a black drake too. Also imported 3 adult females.

We have a flock of 80 currently and love everyone.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, they are gorgeous. Congrats on your new ones, how does it go shipping from the USA to Canada? I just love them.

Shipping is always fun.. we avoided the Buffalo storm thankfully. With customs, vet check, shipping and zoonotic paper work that cost us about 400 USD for these 6, that's not including the cost of the ducks!

I used my business account and obtained an import # which made things easier. Ducklings are a breeze as they don't require a vet check and shipping is a lot less!

You sound like you've done this before lol. Now do you have a large following is that why you have so many Runners you sell alot of them?

Gorgeous ducks!

We dont sell very many of them at all! Purely started out as a hobby and now we are trying to preserve Holderread's runners at an elite level. We have a no cull policy and will be strategically mating in the spring. We are definitely growing the Runner market in Canada. We do sell their eggs for eating and we are now focusing on selling hatching eggs nationwide.

If we were for profit then we are doing this all wrong! We are definitely about the ducks and want to grow these colours, a lot of the colours are rare and not seen with runners with true type, in Canada atleast.

I have to say that amazes me, to want to preserve instead of sell to be all about the ducks. I think that is great. I can tell ya if I was in Canada I'd be looking for hatching eggs this is 1 of the most beautiful line of Runners I've ever seen. Colors are stunning. So anytime you want to show them off you go right ahead.

That is the nicest compliment I have been given.

Some things in life are worth more than profiting, I guess for us it is Runner Ducks. If the weather complies I Will be sure to post some photoa of the females.
