New coop & run project started

Nice!!

Why the gap in roofing on the run?
I can understand a portion being un-roofed.... tho would not put it right by the coop, but at the other end?

Good question! The roof was an afterthought. We were going to cover the top in hardware cloth, but since the ground is low there we decided to roof a portion of it due to mud. Problem was, I did not want to block the sun coming in the windows in the winter (they're on the south side) so hence the gap. I'll likely put a tarp or shade cloth over that part in the summer months and remove it in the winter. I may also continue the roof all the way to the shed and use clear polycarbonate panels there.

Ahh... I thought it probably had to do with sunshine.

You, and your chickens, will be glad of that roof when winter comes!

looks very good. You have done a very nice job. I like re-using material when we can.
