Can a rooster be too big??

Quote:
There are established weights for different breeds so yes a bird can be too big or too small. Weight is a breed characteristic & a bird can be disqualified in a show if it's weight varies too much from the standard.

Too big for his own good I guess. I think Thor's biggest problem is that his motor skills haven't caught up with his fast growth. He's a klutz and can't seem to get out of his own way sometimes. What makes me sad is when he tries to get thru the garden gate. All the others can still fit thru the squares (for now), but when Thor tries it he makes it thru and then promptly falls flat on his face.
My alpha roo, the light brahma, is the one that beak feeds the hens. Even showing alot of patience with my half blind hen as she pecks him repeatedly in the face while she tries to connect with the food in his beak. Thor will let the hens take food, but he rarely offers it to them. Why should he bother? He's not getting the same benefits that the alpha does.

Dark Brahma's can be big. I once saw a video on Facebook and it was of this huge rooster. When i say huge, i mean huge. He was like three feet tall, puffy and white. HUGE.
