I'm starting to feel the need to invest in hip-waders. We have had heavy rain and high winds for weeks now. I have lakes forming in the fields and the yard. Just for fun we had hail this morning with our torrential downpour.
My poor birds - I open the door for them and they look at me like "outside is broken...you should fix it human"
The grass is still green, they just have to wade to it. This is their first PNW winter....and we had no rain this summer or fall for them to get used to it. Really tough to get them time out of their fenced runs these days - I miss watching them adventuring around the yard. The chickens are still laying lots of eggs - but that might just be a lack of anything else to do
