Here is my situation: I have a 2 year old laying EE that eats layer pellets, 3 nine week old EE pullets, and 2 six week old EE pullets that are just finishing up their Purina chic starter/grower (20% protein). The hen is separated w/ chicken wire from pullets but it is time to take away the separation. Since they will all be eating the same food, I read on here that I should give them all flock raiser crumbles (20% protein) and give oyster shell on the side for the hen until they are all ready for layer pellets. Do you agree, or should I be giving all of them grower/finisher (18% protein) w/ oyster shell on the side?

I was actually leaning toward using the Purina Flock Raiser (20% protein) because Purina's food plan leaves the pullets on the medicated chic starter/grower (20% protein) until they are ready for the layer pellets. Purina doesn't use a grower/finisher, that is why I was thinking the Purina Flock Raiser which is also 20% would be best, is there any harm in it for the pullets? Also would that be dangerous for my hen other than just slowing down her production?
