•• ADD YOUR COOP TO BYC •• ( formerly the Coop Page Contest )

Here's the coop -- 2nd post -- hope this is the right thread.

This is the West Wing - home to my girls -- when they're not out working the yard as lawn ornaments. It started out as my entry to the Mother Earth Coop Contest - but as fate would have it - they stopped having the contest by the time I finished the coop. No matter -- I'm just happy to find others with feathers on the brain.

Someone please help me...I'm obviously not getting how to create a page.

I click on the MY PAGE, then I click the ADD A PAGE. All I get is a big grey box with a little bar running down the middle. It won't let me do anything in it.

Will someone please go to my page and see if they can see photos? They are not showing up on my computer-just a red x????

Thanks! And is this all I do or do I have to link to something??

First off Dawn... love the coop, pictures, and descriptions.

Try this:

1) insert the thumbnail image from photobucket (like you already have it)
2) Select the image in the editor and then click the link icon (looks like a chain link) to link it to the larger version of the image.

See an example by clicking on the first image here:

Please let us know how it works as this would be a GREAT thing for others to do, especially if they want to use bigger images of their coops (because we shouldn't post pictures bigger than 500 pixels wide and 150 kb's in size).

You don't have to save seperate thumbnail images in your Photobucket album, Photobucket can generate them automatically. By prefixing the file name with "th_" it generates a thumbnail, i.e., th_mac.jpg versus mac.jpg.

Photobucket can generate the code for the thumbnails in IMG format or HTML format. When you place a checkmark on a photo or photos and click "Generate HTML and IMG Code" at the bottom of the page it takes you to a page where you can copy the IMG or HTML code that give you clickable thumbnails. For the BYC pages a person can copy the HTML code and use the HTML function in the page editor to insert the code.

Take a look here:

I checked three photos in my album, copied the code for HTML clickable thumbnails, and pasted it there.
