First off Dawn... love the coop, pictures, and descriptions.

Try this:

1) insert the thumbnail image from photobucket (like you already have it)
2) Select the image in the editor and then click the link icon (looks like a chain link) to link it to the larger version of the image.

See an example by clicking on the first image here:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=2

Please let us know how it works as this would be a GREAT thing for others to do, especially if they want to use bigger images of their coops (because we shouldn't post pictures bigger than 500 pixels wide and 150 kb's in size).

You don't have to save seperate thumbnail images in your Photobucket album, Photobucket can generate them automatically. By prefixing the file name with "th_" it generates a thumbnail, i.e., th_mac.jpg versus mac.jpg.

Photobucket can generate the code for the thumbnails in IMG format or HTML format. When you place a checkmark on a photo or photos and click "Generate HTML and IMG Code" at the bottom of the page it takes you to a page where you can copy the IMG or HTML code that give you clickable thumbnails. For the BYC pages a person can copy the HTML code and use the HTML function in the page editor to insert the code.

Take a look here:
https://www.backyardchickens.com/web/viewblog.php?id=2328-Test_Page

I checked three photos in my album, copied the code for HTML clickable thumbnails, and pasted it there.

Thanks so much, mac in abeline!

That was easier than I expected!!!

Okay, we're looking for a super cool and amazingly wonderful BYC member who want to volunteer for a HUGE favor to me (and the community)!!!

I just don't have the time to comb through all the posts to see who has submitted which coop pages where and when and to compare them with the pages already added to the coop section of BYC: https://www.backyardchickens.com/coopdesigns.html

Is
anybody brave enough to do the following:

1) Go through this thread and the other threads and gather together all of the links to the coop pages.
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=11399
https://www.backyardchickens.com/forum/viewtopic.php?id=11399

2) After the list is together, see which coops have already been added to the coop design pages and separate those out.

3) Take the remaining list of coop pages and do your best at separating small, medium, and large. Try to come out with an equal distribution of coops to each size.

Paste all the links as a reply to this thread (including links to the pages already added to the BYC coop pages).

Anybody up for the task? If yes, please post a quick reply to let us know.

THANKS IN ADVANCE!

Okay, I'll bite!

I'm home pretty much 24/7 and have time I can put into it. Just let me know!

ETA: I've helped move a gardening forum, twice...

Hopefully it won't take too long, but my brain is just too fried with everthing else BYC related right now.

Keep us posted on your progress!

Anybody else have coop pages they want to submit? Please do so ASAP!

Cool beans!

I feel like it is the least I can do since this forum and community has helped me so much in my chicken adventures. Glad I can give back!!!

Put your cursor where you want the picture inserted and then click the little tree button on the menu (Insert/Edit Image). Another window will pop up. Paste the html code for the picture in the box that says "Image URL" and then click the "Insert" button at the bottom. Your picture should then be visible on the editing page.
