Luckily it is 100+ miles away! But there was another bad wildfire there in 2011. The wind shifted and the smoke from that fire blew to where I was, it looked like heavy fog.
The one currently burning is called the Hidden Pines Fire, in Bastrop country, Texas. And there is a cold front coming that may create 20 mph winds which will not help.
I hope you don't mind if I share some pictures from it!
