11th Annual Easter Hatch a Long 2020

Just got 5 eggs under my broody bantam. She’s a first time mama, so fingers crossed that she does a good job.

Please add me. I set my eggs today. Spent all day yesterday playing with the heat setting to get it just right. Hope I get a good hatch rate. I didn't candle this batch as I checked some a while back to see if they were getting fertilised. My roosters have been busy so here's hoping. Sadly while I was gathering eggs this week my ameraucanas decided they weren't laying this week so mostly all brown eggs. Will be a barn yard mix this year. I put 42 eggs in the incubator.

Woop! I did manage to get everything set up and sorted in time. My eggs are set!

I did have a broody hen, she's pretty aggressive about it and I was excited to see how that'd go, but I can't give her any eggs to sit on knowing that it'll be well below freezing again this week.

Here's mine. I sent a message already. 38 duck eggs and 7 chicken eggs. There's 2 leftover duck eggs from march hatch a long that are due to hatch soon which aren't included in the count.

Check it out Ron! When is the last time I hatched? 2 years. Haven't even had chickens. Decided with all that is going on, and we're all pretty much stuck home.. might as well. Our son and daughter in law that is staying said they would love to help with chicken chores. . Anyway...I went ahead and bought 4 babies. 2 of my favorite breeds. Leghorns and Sexlinks. It's too late for the EHAL, but I also am setting Call eggs tomorrow. I'm quite excited and more than a little nervous.
