Hi im new here I cant find anyone that can tell me if my babies are girls or boys theyre australorp 14 wks old they only have subtle differences and no crowing at all.. i purchased fertile eggs to put under my silkie so no mother to compare to.. any advice would be great as we cant keep roosters in our area :(

If you could post pics of your flock i am sure we could help out.

All the best

I am notoriously pants at gender, so i consider it a sport (50-50 chance and all that...). Others will no doubt chime in very soon. I'd expect to see more saddle feather development if they were boys though.

You'll get your answer in a short while, I'm sure.

All the best and fingers crossed they are girls!

Oh I hope so, I had one more that ive given away was definitely a rooster he had green long saddle feathers, but his comb is the same as the one I think is a girl.. so confused !
