We *think* these are girls, but this is our first experience with chickens, and aren't sure. Do you agree or do you think we have a boy(s)? Thank you!!

At 17 weeks, they'd most likely be telling you if they were a rooster. That buff is definitely a hen, looks just like mine did. Barred Rock roosters tend to be lighter in color- more white. They would also have much more developed and redder combs and waddles if they were boys. Do any of them do the "egg squat" when you reach to touch them? That's a hen "assuming the position." They will do this right before beginning to lay- a sign of sexual maturity.
