17 week old brown leghorn laid her first egg!

Congratulations. I too recently added 6 brown leghorns (one died falling off the roost) to my Welsummer flock. They look very similar except the comb & white ears. I am working toward Welsummer breeding for my area. So, I wanted some egg layers that looked similar and easy to distinguish the eggs apart.

Since then, I've really grown fond of them. They remind me of Miss Prissy from Foghorn Leghorn cartoons.
Thank you! I love their combs that lay over like little hats lol. Breeding the white egg layers and welsummers to my cream legbar roosters will give me easter egger chicks.

I'm used to that...my flock now won't let me pick them up. If one does I have to fight off the rooster because he thinks I'm killing his woman apparently.
Yes the downsides is having to watch your back when you pick up the hens.I have a hen that gets her feet soaked every day and they watch me do it every day like clock work lol

Ridge runner walked up and looked straight in the camera for me today!:lau
