2010 Silkie Nationals!

Ok, so I had heard a rumor in May, at a show here in Ca., about Silkie Nationals being in Ventura, CA this year....well, I was able to speak w/ Dave Anderson at our fair yesterday and it's true! He will be helping put on the nationals @ the ventura co. fairgrounds (near the ocean, and gorgeous!), it will be on Oct. 23-24th this year. You can get his contact info from the A.P.A. site and he will be sending out show catalogs soon.

Come on mid U.S. and east coast breeders, we want to see your beautiful Silkies here in Cali!! Everyone tell your friends so we can get a great turnout in the name of our favorite breed!

I believe they are having two nationals this year- an East Coast Natl, and a West Coast Natl. as there is demand and enough birds for it... or such is my understanding from Marjorie Best

Canyoncritters is talking about the ASBC Nationals for silkies only. The Nationals in OH is the official Nationals for all breeds in November

lol! Yes, I really need to quote who I am replying to.

I think ASBC is going back to having 2 nationals in 2011: an Eastern National and a Western National as was last held in 2003. Not in 2010, though.
