3 week old Speckled Sussex gender? UPDATE: 7 week old pics!

Here are some pics.

You can't see the iredescence in artificial light, so I'll try to get some outside if it is warm today.

It's comb at 7 weeks is still a pinkish orangish yellow. No red. The wattles aren't as long as my wyandotte pullet's, but they are longer than my sex-link's they are sort of a patchy pink. White, with pink dots.

Fruit Juice: Your bird looks like a girl to me. I have have a bunch of Speckled Sussex chicks about a week younger than yours. So far I can make out one male. His comb started to grow and turned pink at around 5 weeks. He also has a lot of white on his chest and even in his still very stubby tail. He feathered in very slowly and still has no tail to speak of.

I would go with your original plan, assume it's a girl unless it starts crowing.

Some girls can have combs that are larger than other girls.
