Our fair starts next week; let the circus begin!! lol it should be good, I've been incredibly busy so I haven't been able to spend as much time with the birds and prepare for show this year as I would have liked but I have confidence it'll go fine!

In 4H I was Champion Senior Showman, and in Open I had BV,RB,Res Asiatic

I put a few turkey eggs in the bator for my daughter....with any luck we will hatch black turkeys

We set up a pen of buff Orpington and a pen of Buckeyes. Can’t wait for hatching season. In MN our poultry needs to hatched after January 1 of current year to be shown.

My reason for setting the turkeys to hatch on Jan 1. My daughter has aspirations of competing in the meat class with heritage turkeys... our fair is in July, thus we need the extra time to grow them out.

I showed my birds this last spring and had a problem with them "hunkering down". Is there a way to teach them to stay confident and healthy looking?
