4 Week Old Black Australorp Gender

We've been through three batches of Australorp babies now, and while we're no experts, and yours certainly is about confusing, we've noticed a distinct difference in eye color between the genders. All of our Australorp girls have gorgeous jet black eyes like your pictures, but the boys have green, red, or yellow. Don't know if this is a true set in stone determining factor across the board. Hope it goes well!
This is really interesting because we were saying how her eyes when she was around 3/4 weeks old looked very feminine

11 week update

I am updating this thread, our Black Australorp (Sprout), despite showing initial signs of being a cockerel, has laid her first egg at 22 weeks! She also has a massive comb which is probably why her comb was red and large after only 6 weeks
Yay! Congrats! That's good to hear!

One of our hens has a huge comb too, and thankfully is laying!
