Hey there
I realise the general consensus is that silkies are notoriously hard to sex, however, we have a clutch of 5 chicks that are now 4 weeks old.
Two of the chicks have been consistently chest bumping and easing their wings at each other since week 2. The rest of the flock have small bouts of doing so but these two are continuously at it.
One in particular looks so rooster like. He circles the flock while they eat, has started making vocal noises when I open the curtains in the morning and is much larger than his identical sibling.
This is him in the background with what I believe is his sister in the front.
What are your thoughts?
