A century of Turkey talk 2000-2100.

My girls started squatting for the toms again already :/ I'm considering making the coop a convent for now and moving all 4 boys to the 10 x 10 kennel. I'm just not capable of separating for breeding yet and I don't want them fighting for the girls and hurting them. Cuddles is dropping like a rock in front of them constantly!

We had our first big snow storm of the year yesterday. We were pretty sheltered in our little valley here but everyone around us got like 8-12" of snow. The turkeys didn't mind any of it though!

Phil was showing off. He thought the snow accented his feathers nicely!

So everyone gettin ready take care of their turkey day birds? We did the two toms last week with the pox. They were this years kids. One was 17lbs and the other 14. And. No one else has shown any signs of it yet... but i keep watchin for it. Sister is cold with her horrible molt still but i do see more fluff on her every day. It seems like it is takin her forever to grow out. Poor girl. But! The sun is SHININ today yay! Tomorrow we need do the other two toms and that will leave me needin one. I dont think any of this years hens will dress out large enough but maybe. There is one we need. Pick up and feel. There is someone that has a narri not far from me that we might go check out.
