We lost our black silkie yesterday to an unexpected predator, my 12 YO son. It was totally an accident. He was riding our side x side out back with some family that was over for BBQ and he noticed some of the flock had wondered toward the neighbor's pond. He rode over to push them back and in doing so he scared them and the silkie freaked out and flew under the bike. He was really upset and I made it worse my chewing him out about it. Oh well, I guess this kind of stuff happens LOL. I just wanted to vent a little, thanks for listening. Here is the only pic I had of him.

Sorry about your Silkie! Talk about a freak accident. Well my grandpa's favorite saying is "Stuff (not his exact word) happens!" ...and we all say things we don't mean in the spur of the moment. Hopefully you can replace your lost bird. Best of luck to you, and I hope you don't come into contact with any more predators whether they be two legged or four legged! (or wheeled for that matter)
