An Entire Frog-Really? Pullet downed a big frog!

I had my favorite red momma hen choke to death on frog when it got stuck in her throat. Unfortunately I wasn't around that day so didn't see it happen and couldn't save her. But there was a good sized frog firmly stuck in there!

I am so sorry to hear about your hen.
It is a little concerning to watch these girls maul down a big toad or frog.
Now our precious Deb and 1 of her sisters went after a squirrel that happened to come down the wrong tree in their foraging space. They homed in that thing and just missed out, don't know what they would have done if they did corner it, but it would not end well for the squirrel, these girls are BEASTS!

Now just waiting for the next big butterfly or song bird to make a mistake and it will be lights out.

are my chickens just st Francis or something because they don't seem to even bat an eye when I've had a chipmunk or songbird get into their run!

Mine eat cicadas like pistachios, and fight over the baby snakes in the yard. Swallow them like spaghetti. I’ve seen the chase the rats out of their food, would love to see them catch one!
And one girl has an issue with our beagle and chases him daily, he’s too big for her to eat, right?!

No..... no he isn't. They are just waiting for him to stop moving for long enough. That one hen that chases him is just impatient.
