Hi everyone,
Thanks for the welcome. I'm joining from Costa Rica, (as others I see)! My husband and I are missionaries here, living in the Heredia province. We first came to Costa Rica back in 1974 with a Texas businessman - developing a ranch for him and since then we just keep coming back. Now we have a small property where we work and do some environmental projects and training for missionaries to learn and take with them around the world - basic survival techniques and such. We have a couple horses, about 10 goats, dogs, cats and chickens - along with good size garden, and an acuaponics system with tilapia. I love working with animals and nature - but always on the learning side ....
I recently built a homemade incubator and have had amazing results with it! It's been so much fun! So, one of my reasons for checking the internet and finding this site was looking for a source of fertilized eggs and some of the rarer type breeds. There's not a lot of information it seems to find specific breeds of chickens in Costa Rica. I'm interested in getting some of the Easter egg varieties, and some Brahman chickens, maybe some others. If anyone knows how to help me, I'd appreciate it! Thanks a bunch!
